Well, back at work…
Now that the summer holidays are well and truly over and we’re all back into a routine it seems that time just flies by. I’m still managing to get little things done to the van but time, as ever, seems to fly by.
One of the jobs that I completed towards the end of the summer was sound insulating the doors, (drivers + passengers). It was a little hassle removing the door cards but proved to be worth it when I achieved the finished result. The drivers door ‘rattles’ a bit when driving. I’m hoping that this will help solve an annoying problem.

Door cards put back on …. hopefully helping without the annoying rattle.
Part 2 of this was to instal another layer of ‘weather seal’. Apparently Caravelle’s and Shuttle buses have these as standard. The wonderful world of eBay once again coughed up a supplier – D-shaped 4M Car Truck hollow rubber Seal Strip. £9.98 delivered. Easy enough to put on. In fact I’m going to order another two and put them on also. It has made such a difference to the noise/rattle, it’s amazing. I’m not sure if it does actually “sound like a golf” but it’s better by a mile.

Thanks Esther for the Hairdryer😘
I also finally tracked down some LED sidelight bulbs. It was annoying me at they didn’t match up with the other bulbs I installed earlier during the summer.

It’s got to the stage with my postman that he just ‘signs’ for my recorded delivery items knowing that they are parts for my van. He just puts them through the letterbox or places them in our agreed safe place.
I really should be an auto electrician. All I seem to do it change bulbs/lights and wiring. I sent for the kits to change all of the interior bulbs to LED’s.
eBay + YouTube = winning combo👍

I’m well pleased with the way these have tuned out. I even changed the rear step lights to LED’s, although one of them has decided to commit suicide. A whole new light it’ll be then… arrrgh😡
