During the week and today I’ve managed to get another few things done that I would like before we go to France.

1st things first …. The oil leak. I took it into VW van centre Glasgow on Tuesday at 8am to have it looked at. It turns out that it was a gasket between the turbo and the engine. It took them about 2 hours to fix the leek then wash the under tray. The young mechanic seemed a little under pressure as I watched through the glass the whole time👍

More new clips were ordered from Harrisons and another metre of Suedliner for the other sliding door. I also ordered a metre of ‘Easyliner’in Graphite to cover the newly sound deadened/insulated wheel arches. Do you ever get that feeling that the person on the other side of the phone isn’t quite getting it?! Needless to say the wrong order came through. I received Veltrim in light Grey instead of Suedeliner. … Idiot!

After phoning them again and speaking to someone else I got the Suedeliner sent through. The last panel is covered ready to go on…. All I need are the other clips… Maybe Monday.

During the day today I thought I would tackle the ‘4 way stretch carpet’ Easyliner. Once I had cut it to roughly the size needed I cracked open another can of spray glue and got stuck in …. Literally. I thought to do it properly I’d be better lifting the floor and giving it a clean underneath. Another full day spent cleaning ,brushing ,cutting ,stretching and basically wrecking my knees. It was well worth it when I finally saw the finished result at 8pm tonight. 

It’s Father’s Day tomorrow…. I wonder if my awsome weans will bring me some camper goodies..😜 I’ve been asking for a camper van for years…

The inside panels are now all fitted except one. It looks and smells brilliant!
